ARAMARA - PAPAGAYO
A harmonious space expected to be many things to many people while respecting the land and fully integrating the scenery.
THE PERSON: a professional couple who work remotely, travel extensively and have a large extended multigenerational family scattered across three continents.
THE SPACE: Casa Aramara is encompassing 600 sq miles of protected wilderness, 21 beaches, and 8 miles of “bluff” edges along 11 miles of coastline on the northern Pacific coast.
THE nidu: we have weaved together the principal threads of the clients’ lives to create a uniquely personal space: outdoor lifestyle, work, personal collections and art, multicultural identities and a close knit scattered family.
THE IMPACT: letting the land dictate the design and layout of the house such that the placement of structures would work with its natural contours.
